Class Details

The License to Carry (LTC) class, formerly known as Concealed Handgun License (CHL), requires operating and shooting a handgun in a safe and proficient manner.

This class provides the student with the essential information needed to successfully pass the Texas LTC Handgun Licensing requirement. The course covers four basic topics including non-violent dispute resolution, safe gun handling and storage, use of force/deadly force and the legal aspects of  concealed carry.

Attendees will be required to pass the State’s written exam with a minimum score of 70% and demonstrate firearms proficiency by scoring a minimum of 70%. Students may use their own firearms/ammunition or request one from Hold the Line (at an additional charge).

*Note: Students must demonstrate a level of firearms proficiency to complete this course successfully. The instructor is not permitted to assist the participant beyond the normal explanation of the range commands and safety guidelines.
